I met with the leasing staff very recently and I have to admit- I came with so many questions that it would drive the regular person crazy! However, the staff met my curiosity with grace and excitement, and were incredibly helpful. I had a great experience and really appreciated how welcoming and helpful they were to me. The tour experience was wonderful and set a high standard for me as I continue weighing out my options. Thank you to the leasing staff! Very professional and clearly good at what they’re doing.

I helped my son move into this building last weekend. I will admit I was hesitant after reading some of the 1 and 2 star reviews. However, we had a five star experience! The staff from beginning to end was a pleasure to deal with. Housekeeping had the apartment looking spotless, the maintenance staff (shout out to Hector and John) were AMAZING, and all the ladies in the leasing office could not have been more helpful. I am completely comfortable knowing he will be living here. All the elevators were in operation and although there is not on-site security in the form of a person, a key fob is required to open all doors and operate the elevator. We had a multitude of packages delivered over the course of a long weekend and not a single issue with any of them being stolen. There are a couple of common areas that could use some attention, like carpets being cleaned in the hallways and elevators being mopped; but it is a large building and based on my experience with the team, I am confident that these will be addressed in a timely manner. Overall, based solely on the move-in experience, I would highly recommend Windsor Winchester. I look forward to updating my review in a year with similar glowing reports. :)

I hope everyone who comes to Windsor Winchester Apartments has the experience we had. I’d like to give thanks to Emily, the property manager for an incredible walk through. It was a great experience. She was super helpful, very personable and made a normally stressful experience, enjoyable and interesting. I never felt pressured, Just well informed. She sold me on picking an apartment here. The area sells itself. Very very clean and modern spaces.Really excited to be a tenant at this location.

I've lived at Windsor Winchester for almost 3 years, and things have gone downhill badly since the new Windsor management took over in September '25. The leasing office staff are rarely available and refuse to answer basic questions unless you schedule an appointment, even when they are sitting in the office. An elevator has been broken for 3+ months. There have been car theft from the locked garage, mailroom theft, and even squatters in vacant units. There is essentially ZERO security on the property. Common areas are poorly maintained, the pool is often disgusting, and management seems completely indifferent. They're only responsive when you're signing or paying lease. The only positive thing here is the maintenance team — they are great. Unfortunately, the rest of the staff and management have been extremely disappointing. For a place that advertises itself as “luxury”, this is far from it. I'm counting the days until my lease ends.

As a guest visiting my son and daughter, I always enjoy spending time at Windsor Winchester. The community feels warm, welcoming, and more like a neighborhood than a typical apartment complex. The location is fantastic, and the amenities make it easy to relax and feel right at home. One thing that really stands out is the staff. Melissa at the front desk is always so friendly and welcoming, and the entire team creates a positive atmosphere from the moment you walk in. Even though I don’t live here, it’s easy to see why so many people love calling Windsor Winchester home. The beautiful community, great amenities, and wonderful staff make it a place I always look forward to visiting.

I've been a resident at Windsor Winchester for nearly two years and a reliable tenant who always paid on time, and I can't recommend this place under the current management. Things have gone downhill badly since the new Windsor management took over in September 2025, and since then it's been horrible. The leasing office staff are consistently unhelpful — they're often unavailable even when sitting right there in the office, and they refuse to answer basic questions without scheduling an appointment. I'm still waiting on a response to something they should have answered over two weeks ago, and now I'm being told I need an appointment just to get it addressed. On top of that, they've been outright rude, and you're made to feel like a nuisance for simply asking about your own lease. The current management is honestly horrible. Their priorities make no sense: after taking over, they went out of their way to pressure-wash the parking area — completely unnecessary — while real problems go ignored, like the garage door frequently not working. They spend effort on things nobody asked for and neglect the basics that actually affect residents. And after two years as a good tenant, they hit me with a sudden rent increase of about $400/month and stripped the concessions I originally received — a steep jump for a building where the service and upkeep have only gotten worse. Management is responsive only when you're signing or paying; the rest of the time you're on your own. I'd think twice before signing a lease here.

The office staff is always so friendly and hard working! Yohanna is excellent at finding solutions, the manager always has a smile on her face and the Emily and Melissa are always so polite when I enter the office and helpful when finding packages. The maintenance guys are also so helpful. John and others are always professional and kind. These guys are great and will solve any problem! Overall, no property is perfectly spotless all the time but I’m really enjoying my stay here at Winchester.

I recently toured a couple of 1-bedroom apartments at Windsor Winchester, and I had a great experience. Emily, the tour guide, was incredibly positive and thorough. This community was previously operated by Hanover, and I had seen some concerns online related to the former management. I specifically asked Emily about this, and she clearly explained the changes Windsor has made since taking over. From what she shared (and what I saw during the tour), many of the issues people mentioned under the previous management have been addressed and resolved. Overall, the property felt well-maintained and much improved under Windsor’s management. If the unit I’m interested in becomes available, I’ll be moving in very shortly. Definitely worth checking out if you’re apartment hunting in San Jose.
